Nothing happens when I click Dial. What’s wrong?
Chances are your phone line is shared between your telephone and Internet connection. If so:
- Click Delay and select a time delay from the dropdown menu. (Bestnetcall will wait the period of time you specify before launching your call; this gives you time to log off the Internet and free your line for the call.)
- Click Dial.
- Log off the Internet immediately and wait
for your phone to ring.

What is the correct format for the call-from number?
- Enter the number without spaces or dashes.
- If you live in a place that requires you to dial 1+ area code before the local number (e.g., the U.S., Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Barbados, etc.), please include 1 before the area code in your call-from number. Enter your number in this format: 17145551212.
- If you live in a place that requires you to dial country code + city code + local number (this is most countries), do not include an additional 0 or 1 before your country code. Enter your number in this format: 5119876543. Always start with the country code.
- If you are calling from an office or hotel room and your number contains an extension, be sure to include x or o before your extension number:
- Use x if the phone system uses an automated system to connect calls.
- Use o if the system uses an operator to connect calls manually to your extension.
- The proper format for this situation is
5119876543x1359 or 5119876543o1359.
